The Meadow Wood Site Plan

Our project is located on seven acres in central Kitsap County, near the intersection of Old Military Road and Fairgrounds Road, about 15-20 minutes from the Bremerton-to-Seattle ferry terminal.

In October 2004, the county approved our Performance-Based Development request. In November, we submitted a request for a Site Development Activity Permit. Groundbreaking occured in April 2005. Summer of 2006 marked the first move-ins (although construction continued on many of the buildings). Most of the members were moved in by December 2007.

The boundaries of the old farmstead are shown in white on the aerial photograph. Most of the property is nearly flat pastureland. Steele Creek runs from south to north, hidden beneath tall trees east of the property. The creek crosses the property at the northeast corner.

This wooded creek area is extremely beautiful and peaceful. It is a natural sanctuary of old growth mossy woods, gurgling creek, and chirping birds. There are wetlands adjoining the property and four of our seven acres are for green buffer zones.

The Meadow Wood development is located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We are between Silverdale and Bremerton in central Kitsap County, Washington. The community is within commuting distance of downtown Seattle by ferry.
